Beyond the Deal

As we invest and develop in
communities, we seek to make a positive impact
through our continued commitment to sustainability,
service programs, donations and sponsorships.

Ensemble Environments

Ensemble’s commitment to ‘green’
development and management
can be felt across the portfolio.
We own and manage a dozen
LEED certified buildings and
have a nearly equal number
in the pipeline.

At the Navy Yard in Philadelphia, we are embarking on one of the largest LEED Neighborhood developments in the nation. Across our holdings we routinely seek the most responsible approaches, such as energy management, water conservation, construction material disposal and use of native plantings.

Ensemble Cares

Our volunteering program
provides employee time and
corporate contributions to
organizations that help make
communities better and
stronger.

Twice annually each office participates in a Cares event, most recently at St. Mary’s Food Bank of Arizona, Help Me Help U of Long Beach, and Cradles to Crayons in Philadelphia. Financial contributions are also made by the company through this program to organizations such as Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Habitat for Humanity, enCourage Kids, Phoenix Children’s Hospital and Ronald McDonald House, among others.

2022 Corporate Citizen of the Year

The Long Beach Chamber of
Commerce award recognizes
leaders who have made an
indelible impact in the region’s
business and philanthropic
communities.

In 2022, Ensemble was honored with the award for its efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic, providing meals and hotel accommodations to the community. The group also supports many area organizations and offers the Ensemble College Scholarship Program for employees, their children and grandchildren.

Ensemble/Mosaic's Navy Yard
Building Better Together Foundation

In 2022, Ensemble/Mosaic, Ensemble’s joint venture with Mosaic Development Partners at the Navy Yard in Philadelphia, formed the Ensemble/Mosaic’s Navy Yard Building Better Together Foundation.

The foundation’s mission is to invest in the professional development of minority- (MBE) and women- (WBE) owned firms and the minorities and women who work at the Navy Yard, by providing access to education, job training, capital, mentorship and wealth creation opportunities. The Foundation was capitalized with an initial $1,000,000 contribution by Ensemble/Mosaic, and it will sustain itself through the partnership’s contribution of two percent of net operating income annually from each individual project it develops at the Navy Yard.

Enriching Communities

Ensemble strongly emphasizes active engagement with local cultures and endeavors to seamlessly incorporate art into our projects whenever possible.

Our commitment lies in integrating artwork that not only pays homage to the unique identity of the community but also enriches the experiences of individuals interacting with our buildings.

Furthermore, we strive to incorporate local goods, retailers, and cuisine at our hotel and mixed-use properties, making every effort to embrace and support the local community.

Enriching Communities

Ensemble embraced the local essence of Santa Cruz by introducing the Jack O’Neill Restaurant & Lounge at the Dream Inn Hotel, offering an authentic Santa Cruz experience. Jack O’Neill, a surf icon who garnered global recognition for Santa Cruz, inspired Ensemble to collaborate with his family to display a collection of surfboards, art, historic photos and other memorabilia that reflect O’Neill’s remarkable life. The menu focuses on locally sourced ingredients from nearby farms, while the bar menu showcases Santa Cruz-made Venus spirits, Santa Cruz Mountain wines, and a selection of local craft beers.

Hotels Volunteer Program

A core Ensemble value is contributing to the communities we serve, and that is on full display at our 14hotels. Each property hosts and participates in up to four community service programs a year.

In addition to participating in our annual Ensemble Cares Day, programs run the gamut from mentoring students at Boys & Girls Clubs to packing and distributing groceries to families in need, from working inanimal shelters to beach clean-ups, to deliveringmeals to crisis hotline workers, and much more. Inaddition, employees can request time off for community service.
