A founding partner of Ensemble, Kam began his career in construction and development, focusing on hotel development and repositioning projects, most notably the renovation of Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel in Los Angeles, California, the Hotel Maya in Long Beach, California and Dream Inn in Santa Cruz, California. An engineer and entrepreneur, he formed Ensemble Real Estate Investments in 1989 with Michael Moskowitz and Randy McGrane, capitalizing on their complementary skillsets. He spearheads Ensemble’s commercial real estate investment, including the development and acquisition of millions of square feet of life science and corporate office space, hotel, multifamily and mixed-use property for the company. Kam also actively engages in philanthropic endeavors through various non-profit organizations, notably as the chairman of Cornerstone Housing for Adults with Disabilities, focused on building housing for neurodiverse adults in Los Angeles.
