Ensemble built the 11-story The Residence Inn by Marriott Downtown from the ground up on three acres of waterfront property in 2009. In 2017, the hotel underwent a $2.5M property improvement project which included hotel-wide updates to the guestrooms, corridors, and public areas.

The Residence Inn offers an all-suite, extended-stay room type, catering primarily to business travelers who enjoy the Hotel’s proximity to the central business district and Long Beach Convention Center, as well as the complimentary breakfast buffet and apartment-like room accommodations. The Hotel also attracts leisure travelers who are drawn to Long Beach by an array of popular destinations, including but not limited to the historic Queen Mary, the Port of Long Beach, the Pike, Shoreline Village, CSU Long Beach, and the Aquarium of the Pacific.
