September Face of Ensemble – Reed Goossens
BLOG POST

The September Face of Ensemble is our Development Associate (Long Beach), Reed Goossens.
When did you join Ensemble and what do you do?
I joined Ensemble in October 2015. I am a project manager in the Development Services division based out of Long Beach. I am overseeing the construction of two multifamily projects; 442 W Ocean and 207 Seaside Way.
What do you like most about working at Ensemble?
I like the opportunities I am given to run and oversee large multi-million dollar projects. These projects are challenging but they are training me to be a better owners rep, leader, and well-versed project manager.
Why or how did you get into your current line of work?
I am a former structural engineer. I spent the better part of a decade working in structural engineering and design all over the world (London, Australia, Fiji, Thailand, NYC and LA). I decided to make the switch out of engineering over to the ownership side, as I am more interested in the business of owning and developing real estate.
Where did you grow up and what was your first job?
I grew up in Cooroy, Queensland, Australia. I made my first dollar working at a local café at the age of 13.
What do you do for fun after work?
After work I surf, play rugby, socialize and I enjoy travelling.
What is your favorite or most memorable vacation spot?
Peru, Machu Picchu. To visit one of the 7 wonders of the world is a truly incredible experience.
