August Face of Ensemble – Grant Nassif

BLOG POST

08.01.2018

The August Face of Ensemble is our Associate (Long Beach Office), Grant Nassif.

When did you join Ensemble and what do you do?

I joined Ensemble in September of 2017. I am an Associate on the Investments team in the Long Beach Office. My focus has been building out the asset management and investor reporting capabilities for our team across asset classes. I primarily conduct financial analysis on our hospitality and soon-to-be multifamily portfolios to make recommendations to the team and relay pertinent information to our investors.

What do you like most about working at Ensemble?

My favorite part of Ensemble is the collaborative nature of the team. I came from a much larger company that was very structured. At Ensemble, I have been given opportunity and responsibility to represent our team and make decisions that I have never experienced before in other jobs.

Why or how did you get into your current line of work?

I majored in Economics and History in college, but always knew that I wanted to start a career in finance. I began my career at Ernst & Young working in M&A advisory and quickly realized I wanted to hone in on a particular industry. I have always enjoyed real estate as a casual hobby, but decided that Ensemble was a great opportunity to transition my finance background into the real estate industry. It’s the best decision I could’ve made.

Where did you grow up and what was your first job?

I grew up in San Diego and worked at a pizza shop during the summer in high school.

What do you do for fun after work?

When I have time and access, I love to play the drums. I also try to fit in a round of golf on the weekends and enjoy traveling to visit my friends scattered throughout the country.

What is your favorite or most memorable vacation spot?

My favorite place to visit is South Africa. I have been two separate times (Cape Town & Johannesburg) and have spent over three months in the country.
