The November Face of Ensemble is our Internal Operations Assistant (Long Beach), Esther Mendoza.
When did you join Ensemble and what do you do?
I started with Ensemble as a temp in September 2015 then became an official Ensemble employee December 2015.
What do you like most about working at Ensemble?
I like the Volume and Variables – I love to stay busy and challenged!
Why or how did you get into your current line of work?
Believe it or not, for 10 years I started out in a distribution warehouse, from driving forklifts and moving pallets, to loading up a 48’ – 53’ semi-trailers, to managing the office/warehouse, to Accounting/Collections. Then I went on to Real Estate and Marketing for 3yrs (10 yrs ago) and was loving it, until the brokerage took a dive. I then moved from the Bay Area to Las Vegas and became an Executive Assistant to the CEO with Healthcare Partners. From that great experience, I decided that I can continue to do this with Ensemble as an Internal Operations Assistant. I help/support anyone and anything that stops at my desk. Thank you! Where did you grow up and what was your first job?
I grew up in the beautiful island of Guam. My first job was shipping/receiving (driving forklifts).
What do you do for fun after work?
After work, I take my daughter to dance class and get to watch, which is the fun part. I take a class with her at least once a week and the best part of that is, she’s not embarrassed of me.
What is your favorite or most memorable vacation spot?
My favorite? Ok, don’t judge me…Las Vegas is one of my favorite spots! Only because everyone is there to have a great time and I LOVE being around happy, fun people. My oldest daughter has traveled around the world several times and said that I would love the Netherlands because everyone there is super nice/happy and it’s cleaner than Las Vegas. Lol. On my bucket list to visit.
