The October Face of Ensemble is our Senior Vice President (Las Vegas Office), Deborah Tussing Spencer!

When did you join Ensemble and what do you do?

I joined Ensemble in November of 2008. I am responsible for all brokerage services in the Southern Nevada Market and am a landlord representative (UHT) for 11 buildings on 6 hospital campuses, over 769,000 square feet of medical office space in Las Vegas and Henderson, Nevada.

What do you like most about working at Ensemble?

I like the people – I love my Vegas team! Our ability to work together to achieve successful outcomes for our clients, tenants and Ensemble. I am proud that we collaborate all of our strengths to provide an awesome service. I love the support from our corporate office and I love working with everyone!

I love the partners’ ability to think outside the box and meet the changing needs of their employees. The flexibility, compassion, success and reputation of Ensemble is something to be proud of!

Why or how did you get into your current line of work?

I had knowledge of the healthcare environment in Las Vegas with very strong, physician, UHS, VHS and healthcare relationships. I have 30 years’ experience in healthcare that includes operations, both private practice and hospital, physician recruitment, business development and healthcare real estate. In addition, I have 20 years working with VHS, UHS and UHT.

Dual Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Management, certifications in physician recruitment and practice management.

Where did you grow up and what was your first job?

I was born in Stockton, California to parents that worked in the healthcare field. I spent most of my childhood growing up in Prescott, Arizona and completed my last two years of high school in Coos Bay, Oregon. My first job, outside of babysitting for friends, was in the 5th grade working for the Prescott Courier – the “largest” walking paper route in Prescott, Arizona (77 customers).

What do you do for fun after work?

I’m a 2nd-time-around parent to 6 children! I adopted a sibling group of 5 and then became guardian of my grandson when my daughter passed away. Tevynn and Tucker, 4 year old twins, 5 year old Mayci, 7 year old Danyel, 9 year old Khale and 12 year old Tayler. Homework, reading, games, the park, dance, cheerleading, softball, baseball, swimming and cleaning – more fun than you can imagine each day!

What is your favorite or most memorable vacation spot?

My favorites are camping, 4-wheeling, boating, and spending time at the lake with all the kids. My most memorable adult vacation would be Hawaii.
