The Ramada Renaissance Hotel was developed as a part of a larger master plan that included office, retail and a synagogue on a large hillside development in the heart of Agoura Hills, California. Developed for $24M with a pre-sale for $28M, the project featured several unique design features including energy-efficient, vinyl-clad window systems, and one of the earliest uses of the Kalwall skylight system to create a dramatic sun-filled lobby. Construction commenced in 1985 and the hotel opened in 1986. This was the first hotel to be developed in what is now called the Technology 101 Corridor.
