1200 Intrepid Avenue
Navy Yard, Philadelphia

This 92,000 square foot Class A and LEED Gold office building faces the Navy Yard’s 5-acre Central Green Park. World-renowned Danish architect Bjarke Ingels designed the building to evoke the feeling of standing beneath a naval ship’s bow. The precast concrete structure displays a unique façade that bends outward at 20 degrees from the ground floor to the roof forming a canopy at the building’s entrance which echoes the geometry of the circular park. The interior of the building features a mirrored atrium offering a periscope-like view of the US Navy’s retired warships docked at the Navy Yard’s shipyard.
